Join us for Geese Take Over Adams County Fairgrounds, a one-of-a-kind community fundraiser supporting improvements to the Adams County Fairgrounds facilities. For just $99, you can adopt your very own porch goose and be part of the fun as these geese begin popping up all across Adams County. After you adopt your goose, the fun really begins — dress it up however you’d like. Go classy, funny, fair-themed, over-the-top, creative, or completely unexpected. Then return your decorated goose to the fairgrounds to be part of the display and judging during FairFest 2026. How It Works: Adopt a porch goose for $99. Once you have your goose, decorate and dress it however you want. Then return it to the fairgrounds by Tuesday, July 14 at 10:00 AM for judging. Winners will be announced during Opening Ceremonies on Wednesday, July 15 at 5:00 PM, and the geese will be displayed all over the fairgrounds during the fair for everyone to enjoy.
