Quilting Your Legacy Square by Square

Join Humanities Nebraska Speaker and quilter Janie York for Square by Square, a fun, hands-on family program that explores how quilts can help tell our stories, one block at a time! Everyone has a story to tell! Children will have the chance to share a meaningful, funny, or unique memory before creating a quilt block that brings their story to life. Using fabric crayons and other creative supplies, participants will design their own quilt block to take home on a dowel as a special reminder of their story. Tickets must be purchased by September 17 to allow us to prepare enough supplies for everyone. Admission is $5 per person, with quilt blocks available for $15 each. (For example, one parent and one child would pay $10 for admission and $15 for one quilt block.) Please Note: A parent or guardian must stay with their child throughout the program. This is not a drop-off program.
