Welder I MIG - 2nd shift

Essential Functions:
Perform welding and grinding operations on assemblies using wire feed arc welding machines


Education:
High school diploma or GED
Successful completion of the GMAW 1 welding course through Central Community College


Certifications:
• Forklift, if applicable
• Aluminum
• Steel
Quality Metric:
• Scrap Dollars
• Rejected and/or missing welds


Minimum Qualifications
? Demonstrate ability to read and understand TK prints for specific department.
? Must successfully complete a welding demonstration
? Internal bidders must complete the GMAW 1 welding course through CCC before being considered for the position, unless they currently possess the necessary welding certifications for the position. External hires must initiate the Thermo King Certification process within the first 30 days of hire.

Essential Functions (Maximum Timeframe 6 months)
? Complete blueprint reading training and/or demonstrate the ability to read and understand Thermo King welding blueprints
? Able to successfully complete 30 minutes of standard work within takt.
? Demonstrate good quality welds in both aluminum and/or steel by meeting department requirements
? Demonstrate ability to make minor adjustments on machines, including maintenance by meeting department checklist requirements
? Be able to demonstrate the ability to use all required measuring equipment
? Be able to demonstrate the ability to identify, load/unload jigs and fixtures
? Successfully complete and maintain two of the necessary certifications
? Have a basic understanding of documentation (examples include ISO, Windchill, Kanban, and TKSs).

 

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:

$23.70
